PLF Returns, Warranty Terms & Shipping Policy

Peaceful Living Furniture (PLF) will either give credit or replace defective parts for a period of up to 60 days (NO Exception) from the date of purchase in accordance with the conditions set forth below.  

Any claim for defects, merchandise must be packed in original boxes that it was shipped in. We will not accept any exchange or return on any used or assembled merchandise.

If a manufacturing defect is found, please call (951) 251-2983. PLF should be notified of any defect prior to a return and supplied a copy of the invoice. Inspection by a PLF employee may be necessary to verify that a manufacturing defect exists, or you may be required to submit a sample or a digital image of the defected item to PLF.  Please email pictures to info@peacefullivingfurniture.com

There will be No Cash Refunds for any returned merchandise. (Exchange or Credit Only) There will also be a 25% restock fee for any returned merchandise. A delivery fee will also apply for any merchandise that needs to be picked up for return. If replacement is required in accordance with this warranty and the defective material or merchandise has been discontinued or unavailable, PLF reserves the right to select and supply similar merchandise or offer full credit for the merchandise; otherwise the same material or merchandise will be supplied for replacement purposes.

All sofa and mattress sales are final, and are not eligible for return or exchange unless noted on original invoice.  

PLF RESERVES THE RIGHT TO VOID YOUR WARRANTY
FOR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING REASON


  1. Damages incurred during assembling or maintenance
  2. Improper maintenance resulting in damage.
  3. Any product modifications by you the consumer or other parties will void this warranty.
  4. Floor samples sold or products designated “AS IS” at the time of purchase are not covered by the warranty
  5. Warranty does not cover minor variations or differences between floor samples or printed illustrations and your furniture.
  6. Dissatisfaction due to buyer’s remorse
  7. Normal wear and tear
  8. Damages incurred during transportation
  9. Damages incurred by accident or abuse
  10. Cost of packaging and shipping to and from is not covered by the warranty unless expressly arranged by Peaceful Living Furniture

SHIPPING AND FREIGHT POLICIES


There is a $50 charge for all deliveries within 60 miles of the 91789 zip code. There will also be a $50 delivery fee for any merchandise that needs to be picked up for a return. 

All Common Carrier (LTL) shipments from Peaceful Living Furniture locations will be prepay and additional transactions due upon invoice unless otherwise specified. 

Common Carrier (LTL) deliveries are curbside delivery only, meaning that the carrier delivers your items to 
the curb. You will be responsible for moving your furniture into your home or business.

If you require inside delivery plus assembly, you can request this service at the time of placing your order for additional fees. The trucker may refuse inside delivery if it is not accessible and will place your furniture in your garage or an accessible room.

Customers will be charged for a return delivery fee if no one is available at the time of delivery. If you require prior notification of the delivery, you can request this service at the time of placing your order. If the Delivery Company is unable to reach you to arrange for delivery; you may be liable for storage fees until you can respond. Failure to return the call from the freight company will result in expensive delays, for which we will not be responsible.

Refusal of damaged Shipments
You will be liable for the cost of the merchandise plus all shipping charges from and to Peaceful Living Furniture 
even if you refuse the shipment and do not sign for the delivery. You will be responsible for all shipping 
charges both ways.

Refusal of any other Shipments
You will be subject to a 25% re-stocking fee in addition to the cost of the merchandise plus all shipping 
charges from and to Peaceful Living Furniture even if you refuse the shipment and do not sign for the delivery. You 
will be responsible for all shipping charges both ways.

Freight Damage
Orders are shipped Freight on Board (F.O.B) from our warehouse in City of Industry Ca AU prepaid 
shipments are the responsibility of Peaceful Living Furniture from the moment it leaves our dock, but you as 
recipient have a responsibility to identify damage, note said damage on freight bill when receiving and 
notify Peaceful Living Furniture of the damage. DO NOT REFUSE THE SHIPMENT!!!

The following are the steps required for damage recovery to be successful.
  1. Whenever signing for freight, always write SUBJECT TO INSPECTION. You are then covered, even if 
damages are later (within 7 days) found inside the boxes.
  2. Whenever possible, inspect the freight before you sign. 
  3. Note on the freight bill any obvious damage at the time of delivery (i.e. box comers crushed, tears, rips, slices, marks etc.), be specific. 
  4. If you suspect internal damage, open immediately. 
  5. Even if no damage is suspected, open the carton(s) within 24 hours and make a thorough inspection. 
  6. After noting the freight damage on the bill of lading, you must call Peaceful Living Furniture customer service 
to notify us of a damaged shipment. We will ask you to fax us a copy of the bill of lading that notes the 
freight damage. 
  7. Hold all damaged goods and their packaging materials for inspection by the carrier.
